Growing people for a better tomorrow

How we transformed a 150-year-old institution into a modern force for growth

The Challenge

Hvilan Utbildning had been educating people for over 150 years, but their brand didn't reflect their modern approach to competence development. As a non-profit organization owned by the green industries, they needed to communicate their unique position and values more clearly.

The challenge was to honor their rich heritage while positioning them as a forward-thinking institution that develops the skills society actually needs.

The Strategic Insight

Hvilan wasn't just another education provider - they were growth enablers. Their true purpose wasn't to deliver courses, but to help people grow into the professionals that tomorrow's society needs.

We developed "Få människor att växa för en bättre framtid" (Help people grow for a better future) as their brand promise, positioning education as personal and societal growth.

The Creative Solution

We created a complete brand identity that balanced heritage with modernity. The new visual identity featured a leaf symbol representing growth and their connection to the green industries, combined with the founding year 1868 to honor their history.

The brand architecture included variants for all their different educational areas while maintaining a cohesive identity across gymnasiums, vocational schools, and specialized courses.

The Execution

  • Complete visual identity including logo system, typography, and color palette

  • Comprehensive brand manual with guidelines for all applications

  • Brand architecture that unified diverse educational offerings

  • Implementation across all touchpoints from digital to physical environments
